DAMN SPEED CAMERA'S

If you do contribute who's fault is it?  To me it does not compute when drivers see a road sign that says 60k and they want to do 65 or 70k.  Then when they get caught on camera for speeding it is, "that damned government is revenue raising".  Surely as adults and logical beings we know the difference between right and wrong.  i.e. don't touch the stove".

If a child is told, "don't touch the stove or you'll get burnt" and the child touches the stove that child will get burnt. Easy huh! The child will most likely understand not to ever do that again. Is this logical?

As adults it is our job in life to teach our children the right and wrong ways to do things, THAT makes us responsible people.  We are responsible for many things, work, bills, health, education, feeding, cooking.  These are our rules of life that the majority abide by.  If we don't abide by these rules there are dir consequences, we get sick, no money, nowhere to live and so on.  Is this still logical?

Really I don't need to say anymore do I?

It's sad, but I need to say more. 

I hear on TV and on radio, in the papers, "THE GOVERNMENT IS JUST REVENUE RAISING".
WELL IDIOT YOU DON'T HAVE TO CONTRIBUTE!!!!!


These people that continuously flaunt the law by driving fast and the complaining really are IDIOTS.
There are no excuses they are just IDIOTS. 


When I was 18 three of my friends were going for a drive to a rural town, only 1 hour away.  They asked me to go and as I had to get up for work in the morning I said no to their offer.  THAT is probably the most important decision I have ever made.  NONE of them survived the crash.  Straight into a huge tree, I mean huge like 6ft or 2meters across.  The road was a fairly good road no rain and a well light corner, I know it well.  The speed limit at that time was 35mph (60k) for that stretch of road.  They were doing about 50mph (80k), three young men out for some fun never went home, I never saw them again but I have never forgotten that day. 

So my friends call me what you will but I don't speed.  Oh yes sometimes I go marginally over, but when I notice my speed is up I back off right away.  I owe this to my wife my kids, grand kids to my friends and people in general.  Go to a hospital look in the spinal injuries wards.  next time you see a crash on TV and it is caused by speed think about your responsibilities to other people.  Leave 10 minutes early and and take your time.

"THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME", hmm how many dead people have said that.  How many fathers, mothers, aunties uncles, sons and daughters have said those exact words.

It's not about paying a fine, it's not about I was only 5k over, it's about staying alive, being responsible and teaching the right lessons to our kids.

What's been happening????

Jack and I will be back to the Children's hospital and the aged care home very soon. I must admit I have missed it very much, and I know Jack has been missed too. Ha ha he's getting fat not doing anything. I have lost 10kg in the last month so Jack is on a diet to now.

We have all seen the pure aggression of nature at work recently, with floods here in Queensland, cyclones up north, earth quakes in N.Z. and now Japan and even more flooding as I write in N.S.W. The magnitude of Japan's earth quake by far the most devastating. I cannot imagine what those poor people are going through. We here at our home in south east queensland feel very lucky indeed to come out unscathed.

Our summer has slipped into autumn now but temperatures still get up into the high 80's. I will have to plant some winter vegies soon, silverbeet and lettuce are top of the list. I have 3 bathtubs for growing them in, and also large pots strategicly placed. It's good with the big pots they can move and follow the sun.

Just organised my visiting days for next month. We go back to the aged care home on the 6th April and Childrens Hospital the week after. I cannot take pictures in the Children's Hospital, it's just not allowed for the security of the children. The aged care home is Ok for taking pictures as long as they sign an OK form.

Jack has to be vet tested 4 times a year, he has a throat swab (He hates that) that is to test for anything that may be harmful to any patients like, salmonela. Dogs that eat raw meat can have salmonela in their system. All Jack,s food is cooked food but still has to be tested. The other test is a poo sample.

Well enough waffling for now, be back to more doggy and animal things very soon
